Baum-Welch Algorithm on Map-Reduce for Parallel Hidden Markov Model Training.

This project proposes to extend Mahout's sequential implementation of the Baum-Welch algorithm to a parallel, distributed version using the Map-Reduce programming framework to allow Hidden Markov Model training at a large scale for enhanced model fitting.
