GCompris is a high quality educational software suite comprising of numerous activities for children aged 2 to 10.

Everyone loves to see videos of software in action. We use both in our marketing and outreach. Create a video having screencast of the activities, giving a small demonstration of what that activity contains and how you play it.

  • Take a screencast
  • Have some pleasing audio in the background
  • Apply some good transition effect between 2 activities
  • Add a title slide of describing name of the activity before each activity
  • Get your video reviewed.
  • Upload it on Youtube.

One activity should be typically 20-30 secs and include as many activities as you can in your video (minimum 12-15 recommended)

You may be asked to assign full rights to your video so we can use it for promotional purposes, which will require having your parents sign a paper.  This is only necessary in some instances, though, so we'll let you know.  However, it does mean that you cannot just use content you find on the web in your video -- you must have the appropriate rights to any artwork, audio, or visuals that are included in your video.  If you create the video from scratch, you have nothing to worry about. ;)
