install kubuntu 12.04 and test Pali's backports https://launchpad.net/~pali/+archive/ubuntu/kubuntu-backports/
 you need to also add https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/backports
test if it'll all install and run, you can install with the kubuntu-full package
