Decription:

The Plasma framework is used among other things as a foundation for the workspace UI of the KDE Plasma Desktop and KDE Plasma Netbook primary user interfaces for desktop and netbook devices.

The recently releaset Qt framework 4.7 adds a new capability: QtQUICK. it is possible to realize fluid user interfaces with a simple declarative language called QML.

with the KDE Plasma Workspace 4.6 there is the new possibility to write plasmoids in QML and Javascript.

This task is about rewriting an existing plasmoid in the QML declarative language

Outcome: a simple plasmoid of the default set reimplemented almost identic in QML (suggested: Social news or Dict, bonus points if both) this will help the migration towards QtComponents and scene graph
