Create NetBSD wallpapers
The NetBSD Project
Status: Closed
Time to complete: 24 hrs
Mentors: Martin Husemann, Julian Coleman, Julian Fagir
Currently, there are nearly no NetBSD wallpapers. The combination of beastie, the flag and the old logo (daemons on old computers), plus the very smooth NetBSD colours (orange, grey, white) should be a resource for nice wallpapers.
If you're fine with drawing on a computer or graphical programs (like The Gimp or Photoshop), this might be a nice and very creative task for you.
This task can be done multiple times and will be recreated as soon as it is claimed.

I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to Ayush. You have 24 hours to complete this task, good luck!
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
Is it possible to describe how this was generated?
I know that it may sound picky, but consider it doesn't fit my screen resolution.
How can I adapt it in that case? (We're about opensource anyway...)
Hi,
even if you cannot provide the sources, could you please provider higher resolutions, up to 2880x1800 (this is the resolution of the new Apple notebooks)?
Apart from that, the work is very nice! If you have further ideas, feel free to apply for this task again (it will be recreated).
Regards, Julian
A .psd or .xcf file would qualify as source in this case
Hi,
ok, we accept this picture. But we would like to have it in a higher resolution (1920x1200 would be fine as well), and in another format (e.g. as a photoshop or gimp source file). You can fill another task with this.
Regards, Julian
Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
Hi,
I would be happy to create a few more wallpaper with higher and more varied resolutions and also upload the gimp(.xcf) file!
However I am not sure how to go about doing this now.
It says the task is closed and I cannot find it in the list of tasks anymore.
Thanks,
Ayush Mehra
Hi,
yes, currently all wallpaper tasks are claimed and for now, we don't want to create further ones. Unfortunately, we cannot assign a task specifically to one student. If you say a time, we can recreate the task at that time and you can directly claim it.
