There's a number of RFB (VNC) clients and servers in pkgsrc, but the real status of those is unclear.

Try them out: install, setup, test functionality, document steps to install, setup, and to test so that other people could reproduce it. If possible, automate tests. Report usability and interoperability problems.

Try servers and clients in various combinations, e.g. server on NetBSD, client on MacOS or MS Windows (if you have them, if not, skip it). Try setting up encrypted access.
